Don’t let a little cold weather keep you inside this weekend; there are plenty of great events happenings all over the city.

First up this weekend is the National Championship Parade for the Villanova Men’s Basketball team who recently won the N.C.A.A. Men’s Basketball National Championship. The parade starts at 1 p.m. at 20th and Market streets and continues down Market to Dilworth Park where it ends with a rally with the team.

Then on Friday night, the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts kicks off with a giant free spectacle at Penn’s Landing — a fire and sand installation that tells the story of immigration around the world. The show starts at 9 p.m. on April 8, 9 and 10. Over the weekend, the performing arts festival continues with excellent performances of all sort.

Through Sunday, Philly Wine Week fills glasses all around with red wine, white wine, rose and champagne at special dinners, wine and cheese tastings and even a wine barbecue at a popular bar.

Read on for our guide to everything else to do this weekend in Philly.
