Raise your glasses, wine fans — Philly Wine Week is back with lots of red, white and rosé at locations throughout Philadelphia. The annual festival kicks off on Sunday, April 3 and runs through Sunday, April 10 at more than a dozen bars and restaurants in Philly.
Festival Events
The wine-fueled festival starts up with Opening Corks, a wine showcase at Stratus Rooftop Lounge on Sunday, April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. The party, which costs $55, includes samples of more than 75 wines with a focus on wines from other countries. Cheese and small bites will also be available for guests to pair with their wine. Tickets for Opening Corks are available online.
In addition to opening night festivities, the festival promises a full week of wine pairings, wine dinners, trivia nights, tastings and much more.
Special events include the Philly Wine and Cheese Showcase at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, a draft wine happy hour at Tria Taproom, a fried chicken and sparkling wine dinner at Kensington Quarters, a lesson about sparkling wines at Vintage and an event that centers around natural wine at South Philly Tap Room. Participating Restaurants
More than 50 of the city’s favorite bars and restaurants are set to participate in the special including Barbuzzo, Alla Spina, a.bar, Front Street Café, Tria, Heritage, Jet Wine Bar, SOUTH, Martha, Neuf, Zavino and Townsend.
